1. What is this course?

This innovative course is designed to provide opportunities for students to study Al-Hijama as a therapeutic method from the Sunnah in the Muslims folk medicine.

2. When do the courses start?

Our system of continuous enrolment means that our students can enrol on any day and at any time of the year. This allows our students the freedom to plan their studies to fit in with their lifestyle or work commitments.

3. How does Home Study via Distance Education work?

Once you have enrolled with us, you will receive your unique username and password and you can start your journey immediately with us.

4. Can I study if I reside outside of the United Kingdom?

We encourage and welcome International students to join our learning community. The course can be completed from the comfort of your own home. There will be no need for you to attend any physical location like a test centre.

5. Do I obtain a qualification once I have completed my course?

On successful completion of your course your accredited certificate is awarded. You will receive a Certificate issued by The Optimum Cure and accredited by the TOCCA, displaying the course level.

6. Is the course recognised by any governing body?

• Al-Hijama Level 4 is recognised and is TOCCA Accredited short course.
• Our Al-Hijam course meets the educational standards in line with British government guidelines for the practice of hijama therapy in the UK (GRCCT Regulated).
• The Optimum Cure and Care training centre is the only leading centre that have registered on The UK Register of Learning Providers.
• Our accredited certificate allows our students to practice Hijama in many parts of the world ( Please check the requirements and regulations of your local Authority/ Country).

7. How do I enrol?

The enrolment application process can be accessed by clicking on the ENROL button and completing the registration form and email it to enrollment@theoptimumcure.com.

8. How do I pay?

You can pay by online bank transfer or made a cheque payable to The Optimum Cure and care. However all payment details will be send to you after you send your enrolment form.

9. Can I pay by instalments?

If you would like to pay for your course by instalments, we do offer an affordable payment plan scheme that allows you to spread the cost of your course over a period of roughly three - five months. When you enrol on your course you simply pay an upfront deposit followed by a structured monthly repayment plan. There is no more than the total cash price of the course, thus the APR = 0%.

10. Are there any further costs involved?

Once your course has been paid for, there are no further costs involved and all the course materials are available on your account on-line. However, there is a cost for the optional practical training and Al-Hijama student insurance. UK students must obtain insurance for Practical Training day and case studies. This is paid directly to the insurance provider.

11. After I complete the course, can I obtain professional insurance?

Yes, Our training program's certificate is recognised by the UK’s leading insurance companies which makes our graduates are eligible to obtain professional indemnity insurance cover on completion of the course.

12. How will I be tested throughout my course?

There are four assignments throughout the course. Three of them are question papers and one is essay paper. They need to be completed and submitted to your personal tutor for feedback and marking. All of the assignments can be completed from the comfort of your own home.

13. What type of questions will I be asked to complete?

The types of questions you will be asked will vary from: multiple-choice questions, true or false, a single word answer, a single paragraph, to a short essay. Either way, you can be assured that you will be able to successfully answer the questions from the work you have covered in the course materials.

14. Are there any time limits or deadline dates?

Unlike other Distance Education Colleges, there are no deadlines to submit the course assignment and we do not impose pressures on you to complete them.

15. How long will it take to complete the course?

+

The minimum period to complete your course is 3 month. This is only an approximate figure and is dependent upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material.

16. If I could not complete my course within the 3-month period, will my course expire?

No, you have 9 month commenced from the enrolment date to complete the course, after 9 month your course will expire.

17. After the 9 month, if I could not complete my course, can I apply for extension?

+

Yes, students can apply for additional 3-month extension then you will have 12 month commenced from your enrolment's date then your course will be expired. In addition, if students feel that they need more time, they are allowed to apply for a renewal of the extension. The extension period can be renewed up to 3 times giving a total of additional 9 month extension. However, a reason must be provided in-order to renew the extension period.

18. In case I'm busy or going away, would I be able to freeze my account?

In case one is busy or going away where they won't be able to access their account for a while. Student can freeze their accounts for a period as long as 3-6 month. Freezing your account prevents the consumption of the 9-month course length.

19. Will I receive professional help throughout the duration of my course?

All of our students have access to their own personal tutor who specialises in the field of study. It is your personal tutor’s role to ensure that you receive constructive feedback and to deal with any queries you may have. You can always be assured that, your personal tutor will always be available to deal with any queries you may have, even if it is just for a chat.

20. Will I succeed if I have had an extended break from study?

21. How difficult will my course be?

The course has been written and structured especially for home study, thus you will always find that the course material is written in a clear, concise and easy to understand format. 22. What about practical training?

It is on-site work shop. The Optimum Cure and Care set dates, then announce for the on-site workshop. The On-site workshop is the opportunity to practice Al-Hijama under proffisional supervision. Our students can choose to attend the workshop, during the course, immediately after having finished the course or at later date.

23. Is there any other optional practical training available?

Some of the students cannot attend the work shop because of visa issue or any other reason.

Al-Hijama procedures are well explained and covered in details in both the notes and videos. However, for students who are unable to attend the workshop, there are other alternative methods.

24. After I complete the course, what are the organisations I can get membership with them?

1. Our accredited certificate allows our students to become members of GRCCT National Register for a fee paid to them directly.
2. Our accredited certificate allows our students to become members of PMA.
3. On completion of the course, our graduates are eligible to obtain 6 month TOCCA free membership.
